Light Mental Wellness Programs & Workshops

IPAC offers a range of in-person, theme-based light mental wellness experiential and group activities, as well as workshops.

These programs integrate cultural experiences, emotional support, and community connection, aiming to provide gentle, practical, and accessible mental wellbeing experiences for the public. Through these initiatives, IPAC seeks to raise emotional awareness and promote mental health understanding within Chinese communities.

“Awakening Through the Lens: Mindfulness in Nature” is an in-person mindfulness experience launched by IPAC in July 2025.

This public, light mental wellness workshop combines mindfulness practices with a analog photography experience. By integrating practical mindfulness techniques, nature-based healing approaches, and accessible mental health knowledge, IPAC aims to promote mental health awareness through a gentle, safe, and engaging format.

The Mental Health–Themed Book Club is an in-person community reading program launched by IPAC in January 2025.

The group focuses on themes such as mental wellbeing, emotional growth, and cultural identity. Community members are invited to discuss selected readings from a psychology-informed perspective, fostering an open, reflective, and non-judgmental space for shared learning and connection.

 

 

Campus-Based Mindfulness & Stress Relief Workshop

IPAC hosts in-person mindfulness and stress-relief workshops designed to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and everyday wellbeing through practical, easy-to-apply techniques.

 

 

Parent–Child Relationship Workshop

The Parent–Child Relationship Workshop is a featured program launched by the International Psychology Association of Canada (IPAC) in November 2024.

The program focuses on strengthening family relationships and improving parent–child communication. Led by parent education facilitators, the workshops combine psychological knowledge with real-life examples through interactive discussions and practical exercises. The program supports parents in reducing parenting-related stress and building deeper trust and understanding with their children.
