Hosted by the International Psychology Association of Canada (IPAC) and co-organized by Roots and Future Society, with strong support from LingYu International Psychology Center and LingoAce, the Mid-Autumn Festival Community Fair was successfully held on the evening of October 3 at Langstaff Community Centre in Richmond Hill.
The event featured over 20 cultural and interactive booths, along with live music and dance performances, attracting hundreds of community members and creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. Celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival, the fair offered residents a joyful cultural experience that blended traditional heritage with a strong sense of modern community connection.
Distinguished Guests | Engaging Moments On and Off the Stage
During the event, MP Vincent Ho attended the celebration and shared mooncakes with attendees to mark the Mid-Autumn Festival. He further presented certificates of appreciation to performers and organizing partners in recognition of their contributions to strengthening community culture.




During the event, Richmond Hill Mayor David West attended the celebration, interacted with vendors, participated in cultural activities such as calligraphy and tea tasting, and delivered festive greetings to the audience, highlighting his support for multicultural community events.



City Councillor Simon Cui also attended the event and expressed strong support, recognizing IPAC’s efforts in promoting cultural exchange and mental health awareness.
Deputy Mayor Godwin Chan made a surprise appearance, engaging with community members and extending festive greetings to residents.
The event was filled with energy and celebration, and the presence of distinguished guests further enriched the festive atmosphere.
Event Highlights
The community fair featured more than 20 interactive booths, including lantern riddle challenges, calligraphy demonstrations, tea culture experiences, traditional handicrafts, and family-friendly games. The event attracted over 100 families, who participated in hands-on activities such as solving lantern riddles and making lanterns, creating a lively and engaging celebration of traditional culture.








Beyond celebrating the spirit of togetherness, the event also fostered interaction and understanding among community members from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Performers from the Domimi Band and JP Music Academy presented traditional Chinese music, celebrating cultural identity and elevating the festive atmosphere to a highlight of the evening.



IPAC would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Member of Parliament Alan Ho, Richmond Hill Mayor David West, and City Councillor Simon Cui for attending the event and presenting congratulatory letters and certificates. We also thank Deputy Mayor Godwin Chan for his presence and support.
